Express mentions this blog!

In the new avtar of the Indian Express, an international blog is mentioned on the first page and a city based blog finds place on page 2.
The Chennai edition picks up nice city-blogs and I follow the list closely.
It was a pleasant surprise that the New Indian Express picked up a post from this blog for its page 2 top band for today!
Here it is.

I would have been happier if they had picked up a latest post from the blog instead of a year-old entry!

Walk around the trees - June 15

Do you love the green environment in your area? Then you should be in one of the 'tree walks' conducted in the city.

Nizhal, an organisation which promotes tree culture in urban areas conducts 'tree walks' in the parks and colonies that have a variety of trees. During the summer vacation, Nizhal had conducted a few walks and a few workshops creating boards for each tree with info about the species.

Join them this week end on June 15, for a walk around CIT Colony in Mylapore. A botanist will explain the uniqueness of each tree and give you interesting facts about the varieties.

The walk will be held between 7 am and 8.15 am.

Call Nizhal at phone no. 99620 25515 (9 am to 12 noon)
Or mail to: nizhaltreewalks@gmail.com
