NCERT Textbooks online

For those kids who start preparing for their 10th and 12th class board exams during the summer holidays, the text books are generally not available in shops.
The shops and the schools supply the text books only by the end of May or early June.
Till then here is a link to online text books - http://www.ncert.nic.in/html/textbooks.htm

After reading the instructions on the above page, keep clicking 'Continue' till you reach this page - http://www.ncert.nic.in/textbooks/testing/Index.htm

On this page select the class and the subject from the menu on the top and proceed!

But think twice before taking a print out, as every print causes damage to your environment.
All the best!

Think beyond summer camps... and write thereafter!

March is to exams. And April is to Summer camps?
What is May for then?
June is back to school? There ends the cycle?
No. If you are game for learning beyond the summer camps, you should enroll in a year long programme and continue the next years too!
Here is a programme to sign up for - YOCee's Student Reporter programme.
Open to all the kids in Chennai studying in class 6 and above. And, of course, for those kids bitten by the writing bug!
Look around, watch the happenings in your school and colony closely.
You will find a lot of stories you would like to share with your friends. Stories beyond the newspapers and the television tell you.
See happenings from your angle and present your voice to be heard.
Learn on the spot wearing a reporter badge and shaking hands with people who make news daily.
Apply before April 22, 2009.
